Chapter 69 - The Sovereign Counter-Stroke

Emergency red floor runners instantly snapped on as the estate’s secondary power kicked in.

Simultaneously, the enormous multi-million-dollar holographic projection screens flanking the ballroom hissed to life. But instead of displaying the Genesis financial portfolio, they blazed with the scanned medical reports, autopsy files, and audio recordings of Eleanor Vance from twenty-two years ago.

*“If you are listening to this, Richard has initiated the Sovereign Purge...”* Eleanor Vance’s voice, clear, tragic, and undeniable, resonated from every high-end acoustic speaker in the estate. *“He has traded our family's honor to build a private cartel that feeds on national collapses. My death was not an accident.”*

Panic erupted. The gathered oligarchs and bankers backed away from Richard Vance in sheer terror, realizing that every classified transaction, every illegal wire from the $150 million divorce diversion, and every sovereign laundering node was being broadcast live onto public, non-encrypted international feeds.

"Shut it down!" Richard roared, his aristocratic veneer completely disintegrating. "Security! Purge the terminal!"

Elena stepped out from behind the marble colonnade, the primary data uplink glowing blue in her hand. "It's too late, Richard. Eleanor’s failsafe just dumped the entire sovereign ledger into the Swiss Federal Prosecutor’s server. Your accounts are frozen. Your private shell companies are seized. You are no longer a titan. You are a fugitive."

Richard’s face contorted into pure venom. He reached into his tuxedo, pulling a compact gold-plated automatic pistol. "If I cannot rule the throne, no one will!"

*Crack!*

Alexander moved like a striking viper. He closed the distance before Richard could level the barrel, his left hand deflecting his father's wrist upward. A bullet shattered a priceless antique mirror above their heads. With a savage, sweeping blow, Alexander slammed his elbow into Richard’s jaw, knocking the older man sprawling across the polished floor.

Gunfire immediately shattered the lakeside windows.

Cerberus commandos burst into the pavilion from the gardens, automatic rifles blazing into the ceiling to suppress the stampeding crowd.

"Alexander, extract!" Mercer’s voice screamed through the earpiece. "Armored gunships inbound from the lake! They aren't ours, and they aren't Swiss police!"

Richard, bleeding from his mouth, scrambled to his feet beneath the cover of four heavily armed private guards who threw a protective perimeter around him. "Get me to the Alpine Bunker!" Richard spat, his eyes burning with insane malice as he glared back at Alexander. "Bring the secondary squad! Take the boy from the safehouse!"

"Leo!" Elena gasped, the blood draining from her face.
