Chapter 5 - The Final Command
The ballroom held its collective breath. Every single guest, officer, and staff member watched in spellbound silence as Naomi turned her back entirely on her shell-shocked husband and his trembling mother. She did not spare Patricia another glance, letting the older woman stand in the wreckage of her broken champagne glass like a queen dethroned.
Naomi turned her elegant profile toward Staff Sergeant Miller, who was still standing at rigid attention, waiting for his commanding officer's directive.
""Staff Sergeant Miller,"" Naomi’s voice rang out, firm, commanding, and absolute.
""Ma'am!"" Miller responded instantly, snapping his heels together.
""Escort Mr. Daniel Mercer and his mother off the premises immediately,"" Naomi commanded, her voice echoing coldly through the grand hall. ""Revoke their base access clearances permanently, and ensure they are removed from the guest registry before they can cause any further disruption to active military personnel.""
""Understood, General! Right away, ma'am!"" Miller barked in crisp acknowledgement.
Before Daniel could even process the order, the second military police officer stepped firmly to his side, placing a strong hand near his elbow. Daniel gasped, his face turning an ash-gray as reality set in.
""Naomi, wait! Please! You can't do this to me! We're married!"" Daniel cried out pathetically, his voice cracking as he was guided backward toward the grand exit doors under the stern gazes of hundreds of high-ranking officers and civilian elites.

Patricia shrieked, clutching her emerald silk gown as she was escorted out by the flank of the security detail, her haughty demeanor completely obliterated. The heavy double doors of Liberty Hall swung open, swallowing them up into the night air before slamming shut behind them with a definitive, echoing thud.
A profound sense of liberation settled over Naomi. She stood tall, her dark eyes flashing with triumphant power, ready to embrace the unyielding strength of her true command and the bright, uncompromised future awaiting her.
