The following morning, the front page of The Financial Times carried a stunning headline: “Whitmore Holdings Secures Landmark London Docklands Development Pact; Lord Vance Steps Down Amidst Sudden Restructuring.”
Inside the newly established London executive headquarters overlooking the historic city center, Claire sat at her desk, watching the morning traffic flow seamlessly across Tower Bridge.
Arthur walked into her office, carrying a fresh cup of coffee and a secure ledger. A rare, approving grin touched the corners of his mouth. "Lord Vance resigned his parliamentary seat an hour ago. The zoning permits have been officially transferred to our UK division without a single legal challenge."
Claire took the coffee cup, her expression serene yet triumphant. "London was just the final test, Arthur. The empire is now truly global."

"She’s thriving," Claire answered softly, a warm maternal glow softening her striking features. "She sees a world without shadows, Arthur. And that’s the greatest victory of all."
