"Grandmother?"
The old woman slowly shook her head.
"No."
One word.
That was enough.
Julian turned back to Vanessa.
"Leave."
Vanessa laughed nervously.
"You can't be serious."
"Very."
"But Julian, my father—"
"Doesn't own this house."
The room became colder.
Vanessa stared at him.
Julian stepped closer.
"You've mistaken influence for immunity."
Her face went pale.
Then Julian looked toward security.
"Escort her outside."
Vanessa's voice rose.
"You can't do this to me!"
